MYP are delighted to be hosting our first event with AMBS at their state-of-the-art campus just off Oxford Road. The MBA experience event will provide a unique insight into AMBS’s MBA programmes and we’ll be hearing from Paul Taaffe on the topic of “Beyond Competitive Advantage: Formulating & Executing Operations Strategy”, followed by drinks at BrewDog Outpost.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges with many organisations now finding themselves in a constant state of flux with their interests and priorities constantly evolving in increasingly uncertain environments. Recognising this, the focus of this masterclass will be to give participants a general introduction to some strategic operations management principles and challenges that should be of interest to leaders and aspiring leaders within the MYP community.

Paul Taaffe is the founder and lead consultant with Taaffe & Associates; a company that primarily offers advice, expertise and specialist skills concerned with leading transformation programmes in organisations. With vast practical experience gained from more than 30 years working in the telecommunications sector, Paul Taaffe, is also a Visiting Fellow and Tutor on the Global MBA programme at Alliance Manchester Business School, responsible for the design and delivery of Operations and Project Management MBA courses.

The event will start at 6pm, with canapés and drinks to welcome everyone before the talk begins at 6.30pm. There will be informal networking taking place after at 7.30pm with drinks at BrewDog Outpost.

Tickets will be £10, including two drinks and with £1 from each sale going directly to our local charity partner The Prince’s Trust.
