Over recent years Manchester has seen its Property sector go from strength to strength, with the changing skyline a daily reminder of the ongoing, rapid growth of our amazing city. And it shows no sign of slowing down, with new developments only getting bigger and better.

In our latest article, we’re going to take a look at how Manchester is benefitting from a trend known as ‘northshoring’, with new developments such as Vita Living on Circle Square offering young professionals moving to Manchester the perfect base to exercise, socialise and maybe even work if you want to, all in a very convenient city centre location.

Manchester property scene

2020 has been another year of serious growth for Manchester and its property market with investors committing billions of pounds to recently approved projects, clearly demonstrating their upbeat outlook about the future prospects of the city and surrounding region. If you take a look at the finer details, the number of new projects getting signed off is on the up, as are property sales and rentals.

One of the main drivers of this growth is the phenomenon of businesses trimming operational costs and finding new ways to maximise spending power, with many companies looking at more affordable cities in the North. This is a trend known as ‘northshoring’, with several large FTSE 100 companies transferring at least some of their workforce to the North, with Brexit uncertainty potentially having a role to play within this too.

With its transport links and huge pool of graduate talent, our city region often has the edge versus the likes of Liverpool and Leeds, not to mention the fantastic bars, restaurants and new residential property developments rising high in the Manchester skyline. One of the biggest new developments launching in January 2021 is Vita Living on Circle Square, and it’s one that we’re very excited to check out!

Vita Living on Circle Square

Located on Oxford Road, Circle Square is a new urban oasis combining a city centre location with a relaxed, village atmosphere. Imagine independent coffee-shops, bars, restaurants, and retailers surrounding a tree-lined green – this is going to be a unique place to live in the city.

Early morning HIIT classes will be followed by brunch at your favourite pop-up. Yoga in the park before a browse around the latest concept store. Early evening drinks before a live gig in the public realm. At Vita Living, residents will have all of this on their doorstep, all in a prime M1 postcode, within walking distance of Oxford Road and Piccadilly Station as well as some of the city’s coolest hotspots.

Max Bielby, Managing Director of Vita Living, comments: “We’ve worked on this product as part of the wider Circle Square master plan for some years, and we are really proud with what’s about to open. For tenants, Vita Living hits the mark on several levels. The location is perfect, right in the city centre, M1 postcode, and at the very heart of the city. Yet the wider master development and green space give more of a ‘market-town’ vibe with independent restaurants and shops on the doorstep.”

A park in your back garden…that’s just the start of it

When you think of a new neighbourhood, sitting in the heart of Manchester, you wouldn’t normally expect it to surround the largest new green space in the city. But that’s exactly what Vita Living and Circle Square has to offer. Symphony Park could be your back garden and it’s this, together with it’s city centre location and everything else that comes with it, that is going to make it a special destination.

One of the main attractions that we can’t wait to see are the rooftop terraces. There’s an incredible 6 rooftop terraces available exclusively for residents to use. From sunbathing to stargazing, a family picnic to VIP at one of their exclusive roof top parties: the large furnished terraces provide the ultimate urban space, with incredible views of the city centre and beyond.

There’s going to be 5 private dining rooms to choose from, with the ability to have up to 10 people in the largest space. The Astronomer has to be the highlight of the lot. Located on the 35th floor of Vita Living North with access to 180-degree views of Manchester from its private terrace.

As already alluded to, Vita Living is more than just a place to sleep. There’s a residents gym for all the fitness fanatics out there – state of the art gym fully loaded with the best equipment and workout spaces to help you reach your fitness goals. From the latest Matrix FitnessTM machines, free-weights or spaces to do a HIIT class, this is going to be one of the best private gyms in the city. And as you know, here at MYP we’ve tried out quite a few!

Working flexibly

Vita Living is better kitted out for work than most offices, so if you are self-employed, a freelancer or you’re wanting an occasional WFH day with no office distractions allowing you to plan, read, write or design there’s a fit for purpose work space. Complete with on site gym, you can flex the time you spend at the office and WFH to strike the optimum live, work balance. What we would describe as a dynamic, vibrant environment to live, work and play.

Apartments in the heart of the city

The apartments themselves live up to the expectations of the overall living experience. Beautifully designed, generously sized and fully equipped city centre studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments come complete with a choice of expertly designed furniture packs. Vita Living has a variety of some of the highest quality apartments available in Manchester perfect for all city dwellers, whether you’re new to the city or looking for a new home to experience city centre living.

Bielby adds, “The apartments themselves will be some of the best in Manchester, no question. The building design has years of our building management and customer experience expertise poured into it. There are ample ways to extend out from your apartment, from bookable private spaces for entertaining, to spacious public lounges, workspaces and roof terraces to co-work or relax.”

“It’s really hard to find anything else in the city that can offer you a brand new, superior quality apartment, in a 24/7 managed and secure building, filled with cool amenity spaces, and have a prime postcode. Especially when located in such an innovative and extraordinary new neighbourhood like Circle Square. It’s going to be really special.”

Vita Living and their apartments will be launching in January 2021, for rentals only. For those who are new to the city, or maybe looking for a change of scenery, and enjoy the finer things in life, living at Vita could be just the spot for you!
