Manchester Young Professionals (MYP) is proud to announce Mustard Tree as our official charity partner for 2025/2026.

Following on from raising over £45,000 for incredible local causes in recent years, this next chapter will see MYP focus on raising funds, building awareness, and engaging our network to support Mustard Tree’s life-changing work in Greater Manchester.

Combatting poverty and preventing homelessness has been Mustard Tree’s leading mission for over 30 years. With over 10,000 visitors every month, they are a vital lifeline for individuals and families across our city. Their holistic, wraparound approach enables people to increase their long-term stability and break free from the cycle of poverty — offering a hand up, not a handout.

From providing access to essential items via their Food Club and Community Shop, to delivering vital advocacy and 1-2-1 support, Mustard Tree ensures every client is met with dignity, empathy, and a pathway forward. Beyond immediate needs, they empower people to create lasting change in their lives through vocational courses, ESOL classes, creative workshops, and The Freedom Project, a six-month life skills and employability programme.

Ellie from Mustard Tree shared:

“We have been keen to partner with MYP for years after seeing the impact across the city that the brand has. The opportunity to work alongside such an engaged, ambitious community will help us not only raise much-needed funds, but also reach new audiences with the stories, challenges, and successes of the people we support.”

Rich Tyrrell, Co-Founder of MYCOM Group, added:

“Charity has been at the heart of MYP from the very beginning, and we’re thrilled to be supporting a cause so close to home. Partnering with Mustard Tree gives us the chance to bring their incredible work to the forefront of our community — a charity that truly cares about giving back and creating lasting change.”

For MYP, the decision to partner with Mustard Tree was clear. Their dedication to tackling poverty at its roots and creating genuine opportunities for long-term change aligns perfectly with our belief in using our platform for good.

Over the next year, we’ll be championing Mustard Tree’s work through fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and volunteering opportunities — inviting our network to get involved, learn, and contribute.
