Adidas’ Paid Search Assistant Manager attributes her recent award to her mentor, a connection that was established as part of Manchester Young Professionals’ (MYP) mentoring scheme.

Through MYP’s mentoring program, Alexia Holt was paired with mentor, Alex Di Giuseppe, for assistance in self-development and professional advancement. Since then, Alexia has claimed much of her skill set, knowledge and confidence were enhanced by this pairing, contributing to her success at Adidas.

Alexia became the proud winner of the ‘’Most Confident Performance’’ award at this year’s EU Superstar Awards, as a result of her dedication to her role.

Alexia took to social media platform, Linkedin, to pay gratitude to her mentor for his ongoing support and valuable lessons.

“Tantamount to my success is the project involvements and guidance I’ve been lucky to have had by my mentor Alex Di Giuseppe”

MYP’s mentoring initiative was launched in 2021 to offer young professionals the chance to advance their careers and gain insight from industry leaders. So far, the scheme has brought together 280 people from diverse backgrounds and sectors.

“We’re delighted to hear about Alexia’s award, and even more delighted to hear that she accredits it to our Mentoring Programme” said Andrew Bennie, co-founder of MYP.

He adds: “This award just shows how powerful mentoring can be, the effect it can have on people can be profound.

“Alexia’s success motivates us going into the new mentoring programme and we’re hoping to connect more talented people with mentees.”

Manchester Young Professionals is inviting mentors and mentees to apply for the 2022 cohort before the end of Friday 11th February. Those interested can submit their application on the MYP website.
