Manchester Young Professionals are pleased to announce the latest winner of the MYP Scholarship for Alliance Manchester Business School’s (AMBS) MBA Program, Ben Ogden.
Manchester is a fantastic city to work and study in, housing one of the largest student communities in the country. It’s no surprise that such a vibrant and diverse city also hosts a huge student population, with the city having a fantastic reputation for its excellent education institutions (of which there are many), future career prospects, opportunities for further study and its international student population, showing just why we want to celebrate this fantastic city and everyone who makes it special!
At Manchester Young Professionals, we aim to be a beacon of excellence and knowledge, just like the city of Manchester itself. We are an accessible and inclusive network for progressive, like-minded professionals in their 20s and 30s, aiming to give young people in Manchester a place to grow and connect with each other, whilst also hosting events so you can network and meet other young professionals in a safe and fun environment.
The Winner of the Latest Scholarship, Ben Ogden
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the latest MYP scholarship for Alliance Manchester Business School’s MBA program is Ben Ogden, a fantastic candidate showing great potential and leadership skills.
Ben has been involved with MYP for several years and became a Mentor on our Mentoring initiative in 2021, showing great promise for his future in the world of business. Ben recently became an officer in the army reserves, having previously worked at Teneo and PwC in Manchester, and will be able to effectively use the lessons learned at Sandhurst to help him as he starts his full-time MBA at Alliance Manchester Business School.
We’ll be hearing more from Ben in a couple of weeks as he provides some tips and advice about applying for an MBA.

The MYP Scholarship
Every year since 2019, MYP has been proud to offer a scholarship opportunity to someone from the MYP community, directly funded by Alliance Manchester Business School. When looking at scholarship applications, AMBS make their decision based on your professional track record and your academic credentials, as well as your communication and interpersonal skills. If you have strong ethics and values and have the potential to become an outstanding business leader or a future ambassador for the school in the future, then you may be a perfect candidate for the scholarship.
Like our other scholarships, the MYP scholarship for Alliance Manchester Business School’s MBA program is awarded as part of the admissions process and is only eligible for self-funding candidates. It’s also awarded on a rolling basis, so it’s important to apply quickly to ensure that you get a place!
